Redesigned data layout for
CrewDB, a web application for visualizing protein-protein interaction
networks for various chromatin regulators and diseases correlated
with their abnormal functioning.
Developed an ontology for chromatin regulator proteins'
biochemical information including domains, family classification,
and annotated GO-terms, available for viewing and download on
Bioportal.
Developing prospective medical device surveillance framework to
predict physicians' learning curve in using a medical device over
time and to determine the inherent adverse event risk associated
with using one device over another.
Tested efficacy of XGBoost hyperparameter tuning, GPBoost
hierarchical modeling, and tree-based transfer learning methods to
improve prediction accuracy of event outcome.
Worked on project investigating the enhancer switching mechanism
between the MYH6 and MYH7 myosin heavy chain genes in human
ventricular cardiomyocytes (vCM).
Conduct experiments: agarose gel preparation, gel extraction,
miniprep/midiprep plasmid extraction, nanodrop concentration
measurements, plasmid digestion and ligation, vector
transformation, and immunohistochemistry staining.
Perform quality control, analysis, and data visualization of
cardiomyocyte scRNA-seq data using Seurat R package.
Developed Java plugin for ImageJ to display fluorescence intensity
of calcium imaging data of neuronal cells within an ROI over time.
Implemented program to identify regions containing neuronal cells
in calcium imaging movies based on thresholding of calcium trace
gradient and fluorescence variability per pixel over time.
Wrote python script to classify data sensors in the UCSD Computer
Science Building according to the BRICK ontology.
Measured energy cost and temperature change from running air

Thyroid Disease Symptom Checker
Constructed a web application that tracks users’ thyroid health
and performs a risk analysis from logged symptoms.
Designed frontend using HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, React, with
JavaScript to animate modals, pagination and login page.
Developed backend using NoSQL, and Firebase Hosting,
Authentication, and Realtime Database to host the app, manage user
authentication, and retrieve and store user symptom information.
